| Floating shops |
Description. Ships of the type PM (projects 2766) are the floating shops, intended for delivering of food and goods for the ships. Ships have premises for goods store, food store, meat and fish store and vegetable store. Ships were developed оn the base of 700-ton dry cargo ships of the type ST (project 2760). Serial name (PM-600) means plavmagazin or 'floating shop, 600 tons'.
Serial building. Ships of the project 2766 were built since 1967 in Germany on two shipbuilding plants; 12 units were built in Magdeburg, 25 units in Rosslau. Ships were assigned serial numbers starting from 601.
Distribution. Floating shops of the project 2766 were delivered to almost all shipping companies of european and eastern parts of Russia. Since 90-ties some ships were converted for stationary use as shops and cafes in cities. Several ships are laid up.
