Description. Motor ship ONEGO is the mid-size dry cargo ship of the "river-sea" class, which have a covered hold, with double boards and double bottom, with machine compartment and superstructure in the rear part, with the single propeller shaft. Ship is intended basically for carrying of general cargoes, containers and timber.

Modifications. Further development of this construction are the ships of the type "Vyg", created for White Sea - Onega Shipping Company.

Serial building. Ship is built to the standard coaster design of the german shipyard Arminius Werke. Similar motor ships with small constructive differences were built since late 80-ties till early 90-ties mainly for german owners. They are (years of built are shown): PETRA F 1985; XANDRINA 1986; ANDRINA F (ex SIMONE) 1990; TRINKET 1991; HELSE (ex HANSE CARRIER) 1991.

Distribution. Ship "Onego" belongs to White Sea - Onega Shipping Company and work mainly on Baltic sea with the possibility of visiting the river ports of Russia and european countries. Other ships of this type are used in Western Europe.
