| Type "Morskoy" |
Description. Motor ships of the type MORSKOY of two variants (projects 1810DVT and 1814DVT) are the mid-size dry cargo "river-sea" ships, which have covered holds, with double boards and double bottom, with machine compartment and superstructure in the rear part, equipped with cranes for loading-unloading works. Ships are intended basically for carrying of general cargoes, containers and timber.
Modifications. Ships of the type "Morskoy" were built in two variants, similar in characteristics. Project 1814DVT is more adapted for sea navigation, has higher forecastle and quarter-deck, and roofed bridge wings.
Serial building. Ships of the type "Morskoy" were built at two shipyards. Since 1966 till 1971 22 units were built, among them 11 of the project 1810DVT.
Distribution. Ships of the type "Morskoy" were delivered to Amur, Lena, Yenisey, Ob-Irtysh, Northern, White Sea - Onega shipping companies for work on rivers and seas of the North and Far East. In 90-ties some ships were transferred to foreign shipping companies, many ones - on european seas. At present time all ships of this type are in service.
