Description. Motor ships of the project 868 are the small tankers, with machine compartment and superstructure in the rear part, with four vertical cylindrical tanks, intended for carrying of oil products for the small consumers. Tankers were developed on the base of dry cargo ships of the project 821.
Serial building. Ships were built since 1960;
up to several hundred units were built. Distribution.
Ships of the project 868 were delivered to different shipping companies of european part of Russia.
At present time some ships are used as bunker fuel tankers.
