Description. Motor ships of the project 302 (type DMITRIY FURMANOV, german designation 129M, 129 meter vessel) are the big passenger ships, intended for work on river cruise routes, capable of making short sea marches. Highly modified continuation of the series of ships of the project 301. Ships have single, double and 4-bed cabins, equipped with WCs, showers, air condition and refrigerators, restaurant, bar, two saloons, cinema hall, souvenir shop. In recent years cabin equipment on many ships was modernized for maintenance of their correspondence to modern standards. Оn some ships passenger premises were re-planned.

Modifications. First time the initial project was modified after several ships were built. Outwardly modified ships are distinguished from the initial project by anti-sun glass of cabin windows, plastic rather then wooden banisters on the falschbords and other design elements. The second modification (project 302M) was made to make the ships more capable of operating as floating hotels. Such motor ships are distinguished by passenger cabins on the upper deck and the wheel-house moved much closer to the fore-part of the ship.

Serial building. Since 1983 till 1991 27 units of the project 302 were built, among them 7 of the initial project and 6 of the last modification. Unit number 28 remained unfinished and than was disassembled at the shipyard.

Distribution. Motor ships of the project 302 are operated: in Russia - on Volga, Kama, Don, rivers and lakes of the Volga-Balt waterway; in Ukraine - on Dnieper and Black sea along the Crimean seaside; in China - on Yantze. Mainly they work on tourist routes: Moscow - Saint Petersburg, Volga routes, Kiev - Odessa. In internavigational periods ships may be used as floating hotels. Ships of this type were delivered to North-Western, Volga, Moscow, Volga-Don, Kama shipping companies of Russia, Ukrainian Dnieper Shipping Company. 3 last motor ships of the series were delivered to the Chineese company Regal China Cruises. At present time all ships of the project 302 work in tourist business.
