| Project 26-37 |
Description. Motor ships of the project 26-37 (type OKTYABRSKAYA REVOLYUTSYYA, slovakian designation MOL1575, motorova osobna lod 1575, 'passenger motor ship, 1575 h.p.') are the mid-size passenger ships, intended for work on passenger lines and river cruise routes. Construction of the ships in many respects repeats the project 588. Ships have single, double and 4-bed cabins, equipped with wash-bowls, luxury cabins with WCs and showers, two restaurants, two saloons. During operation cinema halls were added on all motor ships.
Serial building. Since 1957 till 1962 14 units of the project 26-37 were built.
Project 92-055. In late 80-ties a plan of reconstruction of the motor ships of the project 26-37 was worked out. It included replace of the old eqiupment, re-planning of passenger premises, replace of the wheel-house. This plan, known as the project 92-055, was realized on one ship to 1997.
Distribution. Motor ships of the project 26-37 are operated on Volga. Mainly they work on the passenger line Moscow - Astrakhan, some ships - on tourist routes. Ships of this type were delivered to Volga shipping company. At present time several ships of the project 26-37 are laid up or written off.
